Initialsetupinstructions
Tousethetabletthersttimeafteryoutakeitoutofthebox,ensurethatyoufollowtheinstructionsbelow:
1.UsethesuppliedUSBcableandThinkPadTabletACAdaptertoconnectthetablettoanelectricaloutlet.
2.Pressthepowerbuttontoturnonthetablet.
3.Followtheonscreeninstructionstocompletetheinitialsetup.
Usingthemultitouchscreen
Thistopicprovidesinstructionsonhowtousethemultitouchscreen.
Tap
Tapgentlyonthescreenwithyourngertiptolaunchanapplication,selectanitem,openamenu,or
inputtextusingtheonscreenkeyboard.
Pressandhold
Pressandholdanobjectorablankareaonthescreenuntilanactionoccurs.
Drag
Tomoveanitemsuchasanimageandanicononthescreen,tapandholdyourngerontheitem,move
yourngertothedesiredlocation,andthentakeyourngeroffthescreen.
Swipeorslide
MoveyourngerinaverticalorhorizontaldirectiononthescreentoscrollthroughtheStartscreen,Web
pages,lists,picturethumbnails,andsoon.
Zoom
•Zoomout:Movetwongersclosetogetheronthescreenasifyouarepickingsomethinguptoreduce
theviewofanimageoraWebpage.
•Zoomin:MovetwongersapartonthescreentoenlargetheviewofanimageoraWebpage.
Double-tap
Forsomeapplications,quicklytaptwiceonthescreentozoomin.Double-tapagaintozoomout.
Rotatethescreen
Yourtablethasabuilt-inmotionsensorthatsupportsthescreenauto-rotationfeature.Bydefault,this
featureisenabled.Whenyourotatethetablet,thescreenautomaticallyrotatestolandscapeorportraitview.
Todisablethescreenauto-rotationfeature,pressthescreenrotationlockbutton.
Note:Someapplicationsdonotsupportthescreenauto-rotationfeature.
