PrebooteXecutionEnvironment(PXE)technologymakesyourtabletmoremanageable(itisPXE
2.1-compliant)byenablingittoboot(loadanoperatingsystemoranotherexecutableimage)fromaserver.
YourtabletsupportsthepersonaltabletfunctionsthatPXErequires.Forexample,withtheappropriateLAN
card,yourtabletcanbebootedfromthePXEserver.
Note:RemoteProgramLoad(RPL)cannotbeusedwithyourtablet.
AssetIDEEPROM
TheAssetIDEEPROMcontainsinformationaboutthesystem,includingitscongurationandtheserial
numbersofkeycomponents.Italsoincludesanumberofblankeldsinwhichyoucanrecordinformation
abouttheendusersinyournetwork.
Settingmanagementfeature
Yournetworkadministratorcanremotelyupdatethesystemprogramsonyourtabletfromamanagement
console.Thefollowingrequirementsmustbemet:
•YourtabletmustbestartedovertheLAN.
•YourtabletmustbeengagedinaPrebooteXecutionEnvironment.
•Network-managementsoftwaremustbeinstalledontheremoteadministrator'stablet.
