SLOWDOWN - ADJUST FOR 3 TO
4 INCHES OF LEVELING

3. Adjust the up-slowdown for 3 to 4 inches (75 to 100
mm) of leveling. See Figure 8.
Each time the up-slowdown is ad-
justed, you must recheck the
up-leveling speed.
4. Run the c a r on INSPECT ION and adjust the UP LEVELING
speed adjuster. Leveling speed should be 10-12 fpm. (3
to 3.5 M/min) See Figure 8.

followed when operating the ele -
vator from the controller.

5. Place the c ar on AUTOMATIC.
6. Check the leveling zone, (3 to 4 inches) (75 to 100 mm)
and leveling speed, (10 to 12 fpm) (3 to 3.5 M/min).
7. Continue to adjust the UP SLOWDOWN needle and the UP
LEVELING adjuster until the desired performance is
achieved.
Up Stop Adjustment
1. Adjust the UP STOP for a soft but positive stop. See
Figure 8.
NOTE: The UP-STOP adjustment affects the UP-START and
MUST be adjusted FIRST.

1. Adjust the UP START for a smooth but positive start. See
Figure 8.

2. Check to be certain full up speed is reached on a one-
floor-run. This may require you to make the up-start more
positive.
3. Slightly alter the SLOWDOWN ADJUSTMENT to achieve
optimum performance, if necessary.

Lowering Speed Adjustments
1. Place the c ar on AUTOMATIC.
2. Set the lowering speed with an empty car by turning the
LOWERING SPEED adjustment in

turn increments.
Leave the flat end of the screw pointed 45_ to the Tank
Return Line after each adjustment. See NO TAG.
