the settings of the product. To begin searching for a satellite, press the START/STOP button in the start mode. 'Searching GPS-
satellites' will appear on the display and the percentage level will increase until the process is complete. After the search is
complete, the basic exercise standby mode will be resumed.
Note: The best way to receive satellite signals is to take the device outside and remain out of the way of any tall obstructions
such as tall buildings or trees. When the product is powered up for the first time, it may take a few minutes to establish
connections with a satellite. It will be easier to find satellites if the product remains stationary.
4 Exercise functions
4.1 Basic exercise
Highlight basic exercise from the menu and press the START/STOP button to confirm. The product will now begin searching
for a satellite connection. 'Searching GPS-satellites' will appear on the display and the percentage level will increase until the
process is complete. When the products has completed establishing connection with a satellite, it will enter the standby mode of
the basic exercise. Alternatively, press the START/STOP button when in the start mode, and the product will start the basic
exercise directly.
4.1.1 Basic exercise standby mode
In the standby mode of the basic exercise, it is possible to review the previous time and pace results (to set the unit of
measurement for pace, refer to section 8.4.2). Measuring is not yet enabled however, and exercise data will not be saved in the
exercise log.
