button again to proceed to the minute alarm menu, where the minute alarm time can be set. Press the INT/BACK button to
cancel all and return to the previous menu.
4.4.2 Setting a minute alarm time for countdown function
After setting the optimum time, the minute alarm time can be set. Set the minute alarm time (0-59 minutes) using the UP and
DOWN buttons. If zero (0) is set as the minute alarm time, the alarm will not be used during the exercise. Pressing the
INT/BACK button will cancel all choices and return to the previous menu.
Once the alarm time has been set, press the START/STOP button to begin establishing satellite connection. 'Searching GPS-
satellites' will be shown on the display. After a connection has been established, the product will return to the standby mode of
the countdown exercise.
4.4.3 Standby mode of the countdown function
In the standby mode of the countdown function, the time and pace information is displayed (to set the unit of measurement for
pace, see section 8.4.2). If the product is moving in standby mode, the pace will be displayed but the exercise data will not be
saved in the exercise log.
4.4.4 Starting and ending the countdown function
While in the standby mode of the countdown function, press the START/STOP button to start the countdown and begin
measuring pace. On the top of the display, the countdown clock will begin to count downwards (-) from the set time. As the
clock approaches the optimum time, the product will make a 'beep' sound, after which it will begin to count upwards. If the
minute alarm time is set, the product will alarm in intervals of the selected minutes by beeping. Press the UP button to change
