11 About the GPS system
The global positioning system (GPS) is operated by the government of the United States of America who are solely responsible
for its accuracy and maintenance. The system is subject to changes which could affect the accuracy and performance of all GPS
equipment.
When using the product in a place where the GPS signal cannot reach the product (such as a dense forest, under and around
power lines or directly beside a mobile phone) the product may temporarily show incorrect readings. They will be automatically
corrected when the product is moved to an area where the signal can reach the product. Strong electromagnetic signals can also
cause the product to display erratic readings. Electromagnetic disturbances may occur near high-voltage power lines, traffic
lights, overhead lines of electric railways, car motors or cellular phones.
