NEVER hook the wire rope back onto itself because you can damage the wire rope.
Use a nylon sling.
When you work with winch please always use the rope damper. The situation when
the rope breaks is very dangerous for you and all persons who are in the rope and its
elements reach. Using the damper minimalize the risk of the damages caused by
broken rope.
Avoid continuous pulls from extreme angles as this will cause the wire rope to pile up
on one end of the drum.
