Winch mounting
Before mounting please make sure if the winch which you choose is suitable for your
vehicle and load.
Winch must be mounted on the proper steel frame with 4 point foot mounting system (
ATV 2 point) vertical or horizontal.
Winch should be mounted straight to the mounting plate, improper mounting may
cause to overloads which may affect in winch damages.
It is very important to mount a winch on the flat surface so that the three sections
(motor, drum and gear housing) are properly aligned.
Before you start mounting make sure that your mounting plate is suitable for rated line
pull with maximum load.
Winch mounting plates or frontal protection systems are prepared for most vehicles.
If you want to build mounting plate on your
own, best will be steel plate with thickness
about 6 mm.
Mounting should be made from the high quality
steel ( 5 stage or higher)
Winch should be screwed with stainless steel
bolts 3/8” UNC (0,95cm) x 1-1/4”(3,175cm), and spring washers.
Fairlead rollers should be mounted to guide rope proper to the drum.
Wich should be protected from the rain or other negative conditions with the winch
cover.
