1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandturnthe
engineoff.
2.Removethedrainplug(
Figure16)andletoilow
intoadrainpan.Whentheoilstops,installthedrain
plug.

3.Removetheoillter(Figure16).Applyalightcoat
ofcleanoiltothenewltergasket.
4.Screwthelteronbyhanduntilthegasketcontacts
thelteradapter;thentighten1/2to3/4turn
further.Donotovertighten.
5.Addoiltothecrankcase;refertoCheckingthe
CrankcaseOil.
6.Disposeofusedoilproperly.
ServicingtheRemoteAir
Cleaner
•Checktheaircleanerbodyfordamagewhichcould
causeanairleak.Replaceifdamaged.Checkthe
wholeintakesystemforleaks,damageorloosehose
clamps.
•Servicetheaircleanerlterevery200hoursorearlier
ifengineperformancesuffersduetoextremelydusty,
dirtyconditions.Changingtheairlterbeforeitis
necessaryonlyincreasesthechanceofdirtentering
theenginewhenthelterisremoved.
•Besurethecoverisseatedcorrectlyandsealswith
theaircleanerbody.
ReplacingtheAirFilter
ServiceInterval:Every200hours
1.Releasethelatchessecuringtheaircleanercoverto
theaircleanerbody(
Figure17).

2.Removethecoverfromtheaircleanerbody.Before
removingthelter,uselowpressureair(40psi,
cleananddry)tohelpremovelargeaccumulations
ofdebrispackedbetweenoutsideofprimarylter
andthecanister.
Important:Avoidusinghighpressureairwhich
couldforcedirtthroughthelterintotheintake
tract.Thiscleaningprocesspreventsdebris
frommigratingintotheintakewhentheprimary
lterisremoved.
3.Removeandreplacethelter.
Inspectthenewlterforshippingdamage,checking
thesealingendofthelterandthebody.Donotuse
adamagedelement.Insertthenewlterbyapplying
pressuretotheouterrimoftheelementtoseatitin
thecanister.Donotapplypressuretotheexible
centerofthelter.
Note:Cleaningoftheusedelementisnot
recommendedduetothepossibilityofdamageto
theltermedia.
4.Cleanthedirtejectionportlocatedintheremovable
cover.Removetherubberoutletvalvefromthe
cover,cleanthecavityandreplacetheoutletvalve.
