Ifcorrosionoccursatthebatteryterminals,disconnect
thecables,negative(-)cablerst,andscrapetheclamps
andterminalsseparately.Reconnectthecables,positive
(+)cablerst,andcoattheterminalswithpetroleum
jelly.
Checktheelectrolytelevelevery25operatinghours
or,ifthemachineisinstorage,every30days.
Maintainthecelllevelwithdistilledordemineralized
water.Donotllthecellsabovethellline.

AdjustingtheTractionDrive
forNeutral
Ifthemachinemoveswhenthetractionpedalisinthe
neutralposition,thetractioncammustbeadjusted.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandturnthe
engineoff.
2.Pivottheseatupwardandremovetheengineshield.
3.Raiseonerearwheeloffoftheoorandplace
supportblocksundertheframe.
4.Loosenthelocknutonthetractionadjustmentcam
(
Figure20).

5.Starttheengineandrotatethecamhex(Figure20)
inbothdirectionstodeterminethemidpositionof
theneutralspan.
6.Tightenthelocknutsecuringtheadjustment.
7.Stoptheengine.
