AdjustingtheLiftLever
Iftheimplementfailstooatwhentheliftleverisin
thedetentposition,anadjustmenttotheleverguideis
required.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,turntheengine
off,andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Disconnecttheimplementfromtheliftcylinderand
extendthecylinderpartway.
3.Loosenthecapscrewsandlocknutssecuringthe
leverguide(
Figure26)tothevalveshroud.
4.Movetheleverguideuntilthecylindermovesfreely
whentheliftleverisinthedetentposition.
5.Tightenthecapscrewsandlocknutslockingthe
adjustment.

Properthrottleoperationisdependentuponproper
adjustmentofthethrottlecontrol.Beforeadjustingthe
carburetor,ensurethatthethrottlecontrolisoperating
properly.
1.Pivottheseatupwardandremovetheengineshield.
2.Loosenthecableclampscrewsecuringthecableto
theengine(

3.Movetheremotechokecontrolleverforwardtothe
Closedposition.
4.Pullrmlyonthechokecable(
Figure27)untilthe
chokebutteryiscompletelyclosed;thentightenthe
cableclampscrew.

Control
Important:Beforetheenginegovernorspeed
controlisadjusted,thethrottleandchokecontrols
mustbeadjustedproperly.
