Checkthehydrauliclinesandhosesdailyforleaks,kinked
lines,loosemountingsupports,wear,loosettings,
weatherdeterioration,andchemicaldeterioration.Make
allnecessaryrepairsbeforeoperating.
WARNING
Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecan
penetrateskinandcauseinjury.
•Makesureallhydraulicuidhosesandlinesare
ingoodconditionandallhydraulicconnections
andttingsaretightbeforeapplyingpressureto
thehydraulicsystem.
•Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompin
holeleaksornozzlesthatejecthighpressure
hydraulicuid.
•Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulicleaks.
•Safelyrelieveallpressureinthehydraulicsystem
beforeperforminganyworkonthehydraulic
system.
•Seekimmediatemedicalattentionifuidis
injectedintoskin.
ChargingtheHydraulic
System
Wheneverahydrauliccomponentisrepairedor
replaced,thehydraulicoilltershouldbechangedand
thehydraulicsystemcharged.
Makesurethatthehydraulicreservoirandlterarelled
withoilatalltimeswhenchargingthehydraulicsystem.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandturnthe
engineoff.
2.Pivottheseatupwardandremovetheengineshield.
3.Loosenthelocknutonthespringadjustingpinuntil
thebearingmovesfreelyfromthecamonthelever
(Figure30),allowingthepumpshaftfreedomto
rotateduringstart-up.

4.Raiseonerearwheeloffoftheoorandplace
supportblocksundertheframe.
5.Starttheengineandsetthethrottletoallowthe
enginetorunatapproximately1800RPM.
6.Actuatetheliftvalveleveruntiltheliftcylinder
rodmovesinandoutseveraltimes.Ifthecylinder
roddoesnotmoveafter10-15secondsorthe
pumpemitsabnormalsounds,shuttheengineoff
immediatelyanddeterminethecauseorproblem.
Inspectforthefollowing:
•Looselterorsuctionlines
•Looseorfaultycoupleronthepump
•Blockedsuctionline
•Faultychargereliefvalve
•Faultychargepump
Ifthecylindermovesin10-15seconds,proceedto
step7.
7.Operatethetractionpedalinforwardandreverse.
Thewheelthatisoffoftheoorshouldrotateinthe
properdirection.Ifthewheelrotatesinthewrong
direction,stoptheengine,removethelinesfromthe
rearofthepumpandreversethelocations.Ifthe
wheelrotatesintheproperdirection,stoptheengine
andadjustthespringadjustingpinlocknut.Adjust
thetractionneutralposition;refertoAdjustingthe
TractionDriveforNeutral.
8.Checktheadjustmentofthetractioninterlock
switch;refertoAdjustingtheTractionInterlock
Switch.
9.Installtheengineshieldandlowertheseat.
