Thethrottlecontrolhas2positions:FastandSlow.
Operator-Presence-Control(OPC)
Levers
WhenyousqueezetheOPCleversagainstthehandles,
theOPCsystemsensesthattheoperatorisinthenormal
operatingposition.WhenyoureleasetheOPClevers,the
OPCsystemsensesthattheoperatorhasleftthenormal
operatingposition,andthesystemwillstoptheengineif
eitherthegear-shiftleverisnotintheNeutralpositionorthe
blade-control(PTO)leverisengaged.
Gear-ShiftLever
Thetransmissionhas5forwardspeeds,neutral,andreverse,
andhasanin-lineshiftpattern.
Important:Donotshiftwhilethemachineismoving,
astransmissiondamagemayoccur.
DriveLevers
Releasethedriveleverstoengagetheforwardtraction
operation.Squeezetheright-handdrivelevertoturnright
andtheleft-handdrivelevertoturnleft.
Neutral/Parking-BrakeLock
Squeezethedriveleversandmovethelocksrearwardfor
neutrallock.Squeezethedriveleversandmovethelocks
forwardtosettheparkingbrake.
Blade-ControlLever(PTO)
ThisleverisusedinconjunctionwiththeOPCleversto
engageordisengagethemowerdeckbeltanddrivethe
mowerblades.
Recoil-StartHandle
Pulltherecoil-starthandletostarttheengine(notshown
inFigure5).
Fuel-ShutoffValve
Closethefuel-shutoffvalvewhentransportingorstoringthe
machine.
IgnitionSwitch
Thisswitchisusedinconjunctionwiththerecoilstarterand
has2positions:RunandOff.
Choke
Usethechoketostartacoldengine.
