Testthesafety-interlocksystembeforeyouusethemachine

1.Settheparkingbrakes,movetheshiftleverintothe
Neutralposition,disengagetheblade-control(PTO)
leverandplacethethrottleforward.
2.Starttheengine;refertoStartingtheEngine(page15).
3.Withoutholdingtheoperator-presence-control(OPC)
levers,engagetheblade-control(PTO)lever.
Note:Theengineshouldstop.
4.Disengagetheblade-control(PTO)lever.
5.Withtheenginerunning,holddowntheOPClevers
andengagetheblade-control(PTO)lever.
Note:Themowerbeltshouldengageandthemower
bladesshouldbeginrotating.
6.ReleasetheOPClevers.
Note:Theengineshouldstop.
7.Withtheenginerunning,movetheshiftleverintogear
andreleasetheOPClevers.
Note:Theengineshouldstop.
8.Withtheenginerunning,turntheignitionkeytothe
Offposition.
Note:Theengineshouldstop.
9.Ifalltheaboveconditionsarenotmet,havean
AuthorizedServiceDealerrepairthesafetysystem

DrivingForwardorBackward
Thethrottlecontrolregulatestheenginespeedasmeasured
inrpm(revolutionsperminute).Movethethrottlecontrol
intotheFastpositionforthebestmowingperformance.
DrivingForward
1.Ensurethattheparkingbrakesareengaged.
2.SqueezetheOPCleversagainstthehandles.
3.Movetheshiftleverintoaforwardgear.
4.Releasetheparkingbrakes;refertoReleasingthe
ParkingBrakes(page15).
5.Slowlyreleasethedrivelevers.
Note:Togostraight,releasethedriveleversequally.
Toturn,squeezethedriveleveronthesamesideasthe
directionyouwanttoturn.
DrivingBackward
1.Ensurethattheparkingbrakesareengaged.
2.SqueezetheOPCleversagainstthehandles.
3.Movetheshiftleverintothereversegear.
4.Releasetheparkingbrakes;refertoReleasingthe
ParkingBrakes(page15).
5.Slowlyreleasethedrivelevers.
Note:Youmustpullthemowerbackwardtoassistits
rearwardmovement.
StoppingtheMower
1.Squeezethedriveleversallthewaybacktoengagethe
brakes.
2.Settheparkingbrakes.RefertoSettingtheParking
Brakes(page15).
3.ShifttransmissionintotheNeutralposition.
4.MovethethrottletotheStopposition,andwaitfor
allmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
CAUTION
Childrenorbystandersmaybeinjuredifthey
moveorattempttooperatethemachinewhile
itisunattended.
Alwaysremovetheignitionkeyandsetthe
parkingbrakewhenleavingthemachine
unattended,evenifjustforafewminutes.
TransportingtheMachine
Useaheavy-dutytrailerortrucktotransportthemachine.
Ensurethatthetrailerortruckhasallnecessarylightingand
markingasrequiredbylaw .Pleasecarefullyreadallthesafety
instructions.Knowingthisinformationcouldhelpyou,your
family,pets,orbystandersavoidinjury.
Totransportthemachine:
1.Stoptheengine,removethekey,setthebrake,and
closethefuelvalve.
2.Securelyfastenthemachinetothetrailerortruckwith
straps,chains,cable,orropes.
3.Secureatrailertotowingvehiclewithsafetychains.
4.Ifapplicable,connectthetrailerbrakes.
