neutral/parkingbrakelock.Securethecontrolrodwith
aclevispinandahairpincotter(Figure51).
4.Checktheoperationofthecontrolrod.
Note:Ifyouneedtoadjustit,removethehairpin
cotterandtheclevispinthatsecurethecontrolrodto
thedrivelevers.
5.Adjustthecontrolrodlengthbyrepeatingtheprevious
steps.

Forconvenientsharpeningandreplacement,youmaywant
tokeepextrabladesonhand.
WARNING
Awornordamagedbladecanbreak,andapiece
ofthebladecouldbethrownintotheoperator's
orbystander'sarea,resultinginseriouspersonal
injuryordeath.
•Inspectthebladeperiodicallyforwearor
damage.
•Replaceawornordamagedblade.
PreparingtoInspectorServicethe
Blades
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengagethe
blade-controllever,andsettheparkingbrake.
2.TurntheignitionkeytotheOffposition.
3.Removethekeyanddisconnectthespark-plugwire(s)
fromthesparkplug(s).
