1.Installthesparkplugsandthemetalwasher.Ensure
thattheairgapissetcorrectly.
2.Tightenthesparkplugsto22N-m(16ft-lb).
3.Connectthewirestothesparkplugs(Figure30).

•Draingasolinefromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopenarea.
Wipeupanygasolinethatspills.
•Neversmokewhendraininggasoline,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwhereasparkmay
ignitethegasolinefumes.
DrainingtheFuelTank
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfacetoensurethatthe
fueltankdrainscompletely;thendisengagethepower
take-off(PTO),settheparkingbrake,andturnthe
ignitionkeytotheOffposition.Removethekey.
2.Closethefuel-shutoffvalveatthefueltank(Figure31).
3.Squeezetheendsofthehoseclamptogetherandslide
itupthefuellineawayfromfuellter(Figure31).
4.Pullthefuellineoffthefuellter(Figure31).
Note:Openthefuel-shutoffvalveandallowthe
gasolinetodrainintoafuelcontaineroradrainpan.
Note:Nowisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuellter
becausethefueltankisempty.RefertoReplacingthe
FuelFilter(page29).
5.Installthefuellineontothefuellter.Slidethehose
clampclosetothevalvetosecurethefuelline.
