Familiarization
Beforemowinggrass,practiceoperatingthemachine
inanopenarea.Startandstoptheengine.Operatein
forwardandreverse.Lowerandraisethecuttingunit
andengageanddisengagethecuttingunit.Whenyou
feelfamiliarwiththemachine,practiceoperatingup
anddownslopesatdifferentspeeds.
WarningSystem
Ifawarninglightcomesonduringoperation,stopthe
machineimmediatelyandcorrecttheproblembefore
continuingoperation.Seriousdamagecouldoccurif
youoperatethemachinewithamalfunction.
Mowing
Thespeedofthecuttingunitbladesshouldalwaysbe
keptashighaspossibleinordertomaintainthehighest
qualityofcut.Thisinturnrequiresthattheengine
speedbekeptashighaspossible.
Cuttingperformanceisbestwhencuttingagainstthe
lieofthegrass.Inordertotakeadvantageofthisfact,
theoperatorshouldattempttoalternatethedirection
ofmowingbetweencuts.
QualityofCut
Thequalityofcutwilldeteriorateiftheforwardspeed
isexcessive.Alwaysbalancethequalityofcutwith
theworkraterequiredandsettheforwardspeed
accordingly.
Engine
Neverlettheenginelabor.Reducetheforwardspeed
orincreasetheheightofcut.
Transporting
Alwaysdisengagethecuttingunitdrivewhentravelling
acrossun-grassedareas.Becarefulwhendriving
betweenobjectssoyoudonotaccidentallydamagethe
machineorcuttingunits.
WARNING
Takecarewhentravellingoverobstaclessuchas
roadsidecurbs.Alwaystravelatslowspeedover
obstaclestopreventdamagetothemachinestires,
wheelsandsteeringsystem.Ensurethattiresare
inatedtotherecommendedpressures.
