ornearthemowingarea,stopmowing.Careless
operation,combinedwithterrainangles,ricochets,
orimproperlypositionedguardscanleadtothrown
objectinjuries.Donotresumemowinguntilthe
areaiscleared.
MaintenanceandStorage
Makesureallhydrauliclineconnectorsaretightand
allhydraulichosesandlinesareingoodcondition
beforeapplyingpressuretothesystem.
Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompinhole
leaksornozzlesthatejecthydraulicuidunder
highpressure.Usepaperorcardboard,notyour
hands,tosearchforleaks.Hydraulicuidescaping
underpressurecanhavesufcientforcetopenetrate
theskinandcauseseriousinjury.Seekimmediate
medicalattentionifuidisinjectedintoskin.
Beforedisconnectingorperforminganyworkon
thehydraulicsystem,allpressureinthesystemmust
berelievedbystoppingtheengineandloweringthe
cuttingunitsandattachmentstotheground.
Checkallfuellinesfortightnessandwearona
regularbasis.Tightenorrepairthemasneeded.
Iftheenginemustberunningtoperforma
maintenanceadjustment,keephands,feet,clothing,
andanypartsofthebodyawayfromthecutting
units,attachments,andanymovingparts.Keep
everyoneaway.
