•Neversmokewhenhandlingfuel,andstayaway
fromanopenameorwherefuelfumesmaybe
ignitedbyaspark.
•Storefuelinaclean,safety-approvedcontainer
andkeepthecapinplace.

thefueltankisatleasthalffull.

3.TurnthekeyintheignitionswitchtotheON
positionandcranktheengine.Themechanical
pumpwillsuckfueloutofthetank,llthefuellter
andfuelhoseandforcetheairintotheengine.This
couldtakesometimetofullypurgealltheairoutof
thesystemandtheenginemightreerraticallyuntil
allairispurgedout.Whenallairispurgedandthe
engineisrunningsmoothly,itshouldberunfora
fewminutestoensurethatitisfullypurged.

Drainandcleanthefueltankifthefuelsystembecomes
contaminatedorifthemachineistobestoredforan
extendedperiod.Usecleanfueltoushoutthetank.

Inspectallelectricalconnectionsandcablesandreplace
anywhicharedamagedorcorroded.Sprayagood
qualitywaterinhibitorontoexposedconnectionsto
preventmoistureingress.
CheckBatteryCondition
ServiceInterval:Every250hours
Note:Whenremovingthebattery,alwaysdisconnect
thenegative(-)cablerst.
Note:Wheninstallingthebattery,alwaysconnectthe
negative(-)cablelast.
Raisetheenginecover.Removeanycorrosionfromthe
batteryterminalsusingawirebrushandapplypetroleum
jellytotheterminalstopreventfurthercorrosion.Clean
thebatterycompartment.
Undernormaloperatingconditionsthebatterywill
notrequireanyfurtherattention.Ifthemachinehas
beensubjecttocontinuoususeunderhighambient
temperatureconditions,thebatteryelectrolytemay
requiretoppingup.
Removethecellcoversandtopupwithdistilledwaterto
aheight1/2inch(15mm)belowthetopofthebattery.
Installthecellcovers.
Note:Checktheconditionofthebatterycables.Install
newcableswhencurrentonesareshowingsignsof
wearordamageandtightenanylooseconnectionsas
necessary.
