Checkthelevelofthehydraulicuidbeforetheengineisrst
startedanddailythereafter.
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.Releasethe
tractionpedaltotheneutralpositionandstartthe
engine.Runengineatlowestpossiblerpmtopurge
thesystemofair.DonotengagethePTO.Raise
thedecktoextendliftcylinders,stoptheengine,and
removethekey.
2.Removethehydraulicllcap(Figure46)fromller
neck.
3.Removethedipstickandwipeitwithacleanrag
(Figure46).
4.Screwthedipstickallthewayintothellerneck;then
removeitandchecklevelofuid(Figure46).
Iflevelisnotwithinnotchedareaofthedipstick,add
enoughhighqualityhydraulicuidtoraiselevelto
withinthenotchedarea.Donotoverll.
5.Replacethedipstickandthreadthellcapnger-tight
ontollerneck.
6.Checkallhosesandttingsforleaks.

1.DisengagethePTO,releasethetractionpedaltothe
Neutralpositionandsettheparkingbrake.
2.MovethethrottlelevertotheSlowposition,stopthe
engine,removethekey,andwaitforallmovingpartsto
stopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Placealargepanunderthehydraulicreservoirand
transmissioncaseandremovetheplugs,drainingallthe
hydraulicuid(Figure47).
