CheckingtheCoolingSystem
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Thecoolingsystemislledwitha50/50solutionofwater
andpermanentethyleneglycolantifreeze.Checkthelevelof
thecoolantintheexpansiontankatthebeginningofeachday
beforestartingtheengine.Thecapacityofthecoolingsystem
is7.5liters(6quarts).
1.Checkthelevelofthecoolantintheexpansiontank
(
Figure45).Thecoolantlevelshouldbebetweenthe
marksonthesideofthetank.
2.Ifcoolantlevelislow,removetheexpansiontankcap
andreplenishthesystem.Donotoverll.
3.Installtheexpansiontankcap.

CleaningtheRadiator
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Topreventtheenginefromoverheating,theradiatormust
bekeptclean.Normally,checktheradiatordailyand,if
necessary,cleananydebrisofftheseparts.However,itwill
benecessarytocheckandcleantheradiatorfrequentlyin
extremelydustyanddirtyconditions.
Note:Iftheattachmentorengineshutsoffdueto
overheating,rstchecktheradiatorandthewholeradiator
forexcessivebuildupofdebris.
Cleantheradiatorasfollows:
1.Openthehoodandsecuretheproprod.
2.Loosentheangenutsecuringthecleanoutcoverto
theundersideoftherearframe(Figure46).Rotatethe
covertothesidetoexposethecleanoutholeinthe
frame.
