PerformingPre-Starting
Checks
Checkthefollowingitemseachtimeyoubeginusingthe
sprayerfortheday:
•Checkthetirepressure.
Note:Thesetiresaredifferentthancartires;theyrequire
lesspressuretominimizeturfcompactionanddamage.
•Checkalluidlevelsandaddtheappropriateamountof
specieduids,ifanyarefoundtobelow.
•Checkthebrakepedaloperation.
•Checktoseethatthelightsareworking.
•Withtheengineoff,checkforoilleaks,looseparts,and
anyothernoticeablemalfunctions.
Ifanyoftheaboveitemsarenotcorrect,notifyyourmechanic
orcheckwithyoursupervisorbeforetakingthesprayerout
fortheday.Yoursupervisormaywantyoutocheckother
itemsonadailybasis,soaskwhatyourresponsibilitiesare.
PreparingtoDrivetheMachine
CheckingtheTireAirPressure
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Checkthetireairpressuretoensureproperlevels.Fillthe
tiresto124kPa(18psi).
Note:Also,checkthetiresforwearordamage.
CheckingtheEngineOil
ServiceInterval:BeforeeachuseordailyChecktheengine
oillevelbeforeyoustarttheenginefor
thersttime.

Theengineisshippedwithoilinthecrankcase;however,the
levelofoilmustbecheckedbeforeyourststarttheengine
andafteryouhaverunit.
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Removethedipstick,locatedunderthepassengerseat,
andwipeitwithacleanrag(Figure19).
Note:Insertthedipstickintothetubeandmakesure
itisseatedfully.Removethedipstickandcheckthe
oillevel.
