CAUTION
Ifyouleavethekeyinthestarterswitch,someonecouldaccidentlystarttheengineandseriouslyinjure
youorotherbystanders.
Removethekeyfromthestarterswitchbeforeyoudoanymaintenance.

JackingtheSprayerUp
Whenevertheengineisrunforroutinemaintenanceand/or
enginediagnostics,therearwheelsofthesprayershouldbe
25mm(1inch)offthegroundwiththerearaxlesupported
onjackstands.
DANGER
Asprayeronajackmaybeunstableandslipoffof
thejack,injuringanyonebeneathit.
Alwaysremovethekeyfromthestarterswitch
beforegettingoffthesprayer.
Blockthetireswhenthesprayerisonajack.
Supportthemachinewithjackstands.
Thejackingpointatthefrontofthesprayerisunderthefront
axle,directlyundertheleafsprings(Figure46).

RemovingtheForwardHeatShield
1.Starttheengineandletitrununtilwarm;thiswarms
theoilsothatitdrainsbetter.
2.Settheparkingbrake,stopthepump,stoptheengine,
andremovethekeyfromthestarterswitch.
3.Raisethefrontandbackofthemachineandsupportit
withjackstands;refertoJackingtheSprayerUp(page
40).
4.Removethe6hex-headboltsand6washersthatsecure
thefrontforwardheatshieldtothechassisandremove
theshield(Figure48).
Note:Retainthebolts,washersandheatshieldfor
installationin(page).
