OperatingtheMachine
StartingtheEngine
1.Sitontheoperator’sseatandkeepyourfootoffthe
tractionpedal.
2.Ensurethattheparkingbrakeisset,thetractionpedal
isintheNeutralposition,thethrottleleverisinthe
Slowposition.
3.Insertthekeyintothestarterswitchandrotatethekey
totheOn/Preheatposition.
Note:Anautomatictimerwillcontrolthepreheatfor
approximately6seconds.
4.Afterpreheating,turnthekeytotheStartposition.
Note:Cranktheenginefornolongerthan15seconds.
Note:Iftheenginerequiresadditionalpreheating,turn
thekeytotheOffposition,thentotheOn/Preheat
position.Repeatsteps1through4asrequired.
5.Releasethekeywhentheenginestarts.
6.Runtheengineatidlespeedorpartialthrottleuntil
theenginewarmsup.
Note:Warmuptheenginenotonlyincold
temperatureseasonsbutalsoinwarmtemperature
seasons.
DrivingtheMachine
1.Pressthetractionpedalforwardtodrivethemachine
forwardorpressthepedalrearwardtodrivethe
machineinreverse.
Important:Ensurethatyouallowthesprayer
tocometoastopbeforeswitchingbetweenthe
ForwardandReversepositions.
2.Toslowlystopthemachine,releasethetractionpedal.
Note:ThetractionpedalwillreturntotheNeutral
position.
3.Tostopquickly,pressthebrakepedal.
Note:Thestoppingdistanceofyoumachinemayvary
dependingonthesprayer-tankloadandgroundspeed
ofthemachine.
SettingtheGroundSpeedLockSwitch
CAUTION
Ifyoupressthegroundspeedlockswitchanddo
nothaveyourfootonthetractionpedal,thetraction
unitmaysuddenlystopandcauseyoutolose
control,possiblyinjuringyouorbystanders.
Ensurethatyouhaveyourfootonthetractionpedal
whenyoudisengagethegroundspeedlockswitch.
1.Driveforwardandattainthedesiredgroundspeed;
refertoDrivingtheMachine(page30).
2.Pressthetopofthegroundspeedlockswitch.
Note:Thelightontheswitchilluminates.
3.Takeyourfootoffthetractionpedal.
Note:Thesprayerwillmaintainthespeedyouset.
4.Toreleasethegroundspeedlockswitch,eitherplace
yourfootonthetractionpedalandpressthebottomof
theswitchorremoveyourfootfromthetractionpedal
andpressthebrakepedal.
Note:Thelightontheswitchturnsoffandthe
tractioncontrolreturnstothetractionpedal.
StoppingtheEngine
1.MovethetractionpedaltotheNeutralposition.
2.Pressthebraketostopthesprayer.
3.Settheparkingbrake.
4.Movethethrottlelevertotheslowenginespeed
position.
5.Allowtheenginetocooldownfor3to5minutes.
6.RotatethestarterkeytotheOffposition.
7.Removethekeyfromtheswitchtopreventsomeone
fromaccidentallystartingtheengine.
