AdjustingtheBrakes
Abrakeadjustmentrodislocatedateachsideofthe
machinesothatyoucanadjustthebrakesequally.
1.Whilemovingforwardintransportspeed,press
thebrakepedal;bothwheelsshouldapply
equally.
CAUTION
Testingthebrakesinaconnedarea
whereothersarepresentcouldcause
injury.
Alwayscheckthebrakesinawide,
open-spaced,atareafreefrompeople
andobstructionsbeforeandafterthe
adjustment.
2.Ifthebrakesdonotapplyequally,adjustthe
brakesasfollows:
A.Disconnectthebrakerodsbyremovingthe
cotterpinandclevispin(Figure46).

pressthebrakepedal;bothbrakesshould
applyequally.Adjustthem,ifnecessary.
