Procedure
1.Mountthebatterybehindtheseatwiththe
batteryterminalstowardthefrontofthemachine
(Figure3).
2.Connectthepositivebatterycable(red)from
thestartersolenoidtothepositivepost(+)of
thebattery(Figure3).Secureitwithacarriage
boltandnut.
Important:Ensurethatthecablewillclear
theseatintherear-mostposition,which
couldcausewearordamagetothecable.
WARNING
Batteryterminalsormetaltools
couldshortagainstmetalmachine
components,causingsparks.Sparks
cancausethebatterygassestoexplode,
resultinginpersonalinjury.
Whenremovingorinstallingthe
battery,donotallowthebattery
terminalstotouchanymetalpartsof
themachine.
Donotallowmetaltoolstoshort
betweenthebatteryterminalsand
metalpartsofthemachine.

4.Coatbothterminalswithpetroleumjelly.
5.Installthebatteryclampandwashersand
securethemwithwingnuts(Figure3).
6.Placetheterminalcoveroverthepositive(+)
batterypost.
