Ifthemachinemoveswhenthetractionpedalisinthe
NEUTRALposition,adjustthetractioncam.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
cuttingunits,engagetheparkingbrake,shutoff
theengine,andremovethekeyfromtheignition
switch.
2.Chockorblockthefrontandrearwheelsonone
side.
3.Raisetheoppositefrontandrearwheeloffthe
oorandplacesupportblocksundertheframe.
WARNING
Ifthemachineisnotsupported
adequately,itmayaccidentallyfall,
injuringanyoneunderthemachine.
Afrontwheelandarearwheelmustbe
raisedofftheground;otherwise,the
machinewillmoveduringadjustment.
4.Loosenthelocknutonthetractionadjustment
cam(Figure57).

5.Starttheengineandrotatethecamhexinboth
directionstodeterminethemidpositionofthe
neutralspan.
6.Tightenthelocknutsecuringtheadjustment.
7.Shutofftheengine.
8.Removethesupportblocksandlowerthe
machinetotheshopoor.T estdrivethe
machinetoensurethatitdoesnotmovewhen
thetractionpedalisinneutral.
