1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotion-control
leverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCKposition,and
engagetheparkingbrake.
2.MovethethrottlelevertotheSLOWposition,
shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Raisethecuttingunittothetransportposition.
4.Raisethefrontofthemachineusingjackstands.
5.Thoroughlycleantheundersideofthecutting
unitwithwater.
WasteDisposal
Engineoil,batteries,hydraulicuid,andengine
coolantarepollutants.Disposeoftheseaccordingto
yourstateandlocalregulations.
Storage
StorageSafety
•Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovementtostopbeforeyouleavethe
operator’sposition.Allowthemachinetocool
beforeadjusting,servicing,cleaning,orstoringit.
•Donotstorethemachineorfuelcontainerwhere
thereisanopename,spark,orpilotlight,such
asonawaterheaterorotherappliance.

1.Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchand
storeitinamemorableplace.
2.Thoroughlycleanthemachine,deck,and
engine,payingspecialattentiontotheseareas:
•Radiatorandradiatorscreen
•Underneaththedeck
•Underthedeckbeltcovers
•Counterbalancesprings
•PTO-shaftassembly
•Allgreasettingsandpivotpoints
•Insidethecontrolbox
•Beneaththeseatplateandtopofthe
transmission
3.Checkandadjustfrontandreartirepressure;
refertoCheckingtheTirePressure(page44).
4.Remove,sharpen,andbalancethemower
blades.Installthebladesandtorquetheblade
fastenersto115to149N∙m(85to110ft-lb).
5.Checkallfastenersforloosenessandtighten
themasnecessary.Torquethe6boltssecuring
themowerdeckframetothetractionunit(Figure
60)to359N∙m(265ft-lb).
