PreparingtheEngine
1.Draintheengineoilfromtheoilpanandinstall
thedrainplug.
2.Changetheengineoilandlter;referto
ChangingtheEngineOilAndFilter(page40).
3.Filltheenginewiththedesignatedquantityof
engineoil;refertoCheckingtheEngine-Oil
Level(page39).
4.Starttheengineandrunitatidlespeedfor2
minutes.
5.Drainthefuelfromthefueltank,fuellines,
pump,lter,andseparator.Flushthefueltank
withcleandieselfuelandconnectallfuellines.
6.Thoroughlycleanandservicetheair-cleaner
assembly.
7.Sealtheair-cleanerinletandtheexhaustoutlet
withweatherproofmaskingtape.
8.Checktheoil-llercapandfuel-tankcapto
ensurethattheyaresecurelyinplace.
