ForwardHeatShield(page40).
2.Raisetheseats.

sprayerhasbeenrunning.Ifyoutouchhot
components,youmaybeburned.
Allowthesprayertocoolbeforeperforming
maintenanceortouchingcomponentsunder
thehood.
3.Alignadrainpanundertheengineoillter(Figure58).

gasketonthereplacementoillter.
8.Installtheoilltertothelteradapterandturnthe
oillterclockwiseuntiltherubbergasketcontactsthe
lteradapter,thentightenthelteranadditional1/2
turn(Figure58).
Note:Donotovertightentheoillter.
9.Wipecleananyresidualoil.

1.Alignadrainpanwitha9L(9.5USqt)capacityor
greaterunderthedrainplug(Figure58).
2.Removethedrainplug(Figure58)andallowtheoil
todraincompletely.
Note:Checkthedrainplugsealforwearanddamage;
replacethesealifitiswornordamaged.
Note:Disposeoftheusedoilatacertiedrecycling
center.
3.Installthedrainplugintothedrainportoftheengine
oilpanandtightentheplugto33to37N-m(24to
27ft-lb).
4.Tiltthepassengerseatforwardandaligntheproprod
intothedetentintheproprodguideslot.
5.Removetheoilllercapfromllerneckofthevalve
coveroftheengine(Figure59)andslowlypour
approximately80%ofthespeciedamountofoilinto
llerneck.
