CAUTION

Keepthemachinewellmaintainedandin
goodworkingorderasindicatedinthese
instructions.
WARNING
Ifyouleavethekeyintheignitionswitch,
someonecouldaccidentlystarttheengine
andseriouslyinjureyouorotherbystanders.
Removethekeyfromtheignitionand
disconnectthewiresfromthesparkplugs
beforeyoudoanymaintenance.Setthewires
asidesothattheydonotaccidentallycontact
thesparkplugs.
PreparingforMachine
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitfor
allmovingpartstostop.
3.Chockthewheels.
4.Removethemachinefromthetractionunit.
5.Allowmachinecomponentstocoolbefore
performingmaintenance.
6.Disconnectthespark-plugwire.
PreparingtheMachinefor
WeldRepairs
Important:Failuretodisconnectthebattery
maypermanentlydamagetothewireless-control
moduleandtheTECcontroller.
•Disconnectthenegative-batterycablefromthe
batterybeforeweldingonthemachine.
•Connectthenegative-batterycabletothebattery
afteryounishweldingonthemachine.

•Shutofftheenginebeforecheckingtheoilor
addingoiltothecrankcase.
•Donotchangethegovernorspeedoroverspeed
theengine.
ServicingtheAirCleaner
ServiceInterval:Every25hours—Cleanthe
foamairlterelementandcheck
thepaperelementfordamage
(morefrequentlyindustyorsandy
conditions).
Every100hours—Replacethepaperairlter
element(morefrequentlyindustyorsandy
conditions).
CheckingtheAirFilter
1.Preparethemachineformaintenance;referto
PreparingforMachine(page25).
2.Checktheaircleanerbodyfordamage,which
couldpossiblycauseanairleak.Ensurethe
coverissealingaroundtheaircleanerbody
(Figure24).
