1.Toavoiddrivingoverthecores,offsettheCore
Processorbeforemovingforward.
2.LowertheCoreProcessortostartprocessing.
3.Attheendofthepass,raisetheCoreProcessor.

ifthereisadequateturfforturning.
OperatingTips
Thecoreprocessorwillleaveavarietyofnished
resultsdependingontheconditions.Ingeneral,ifthe
conditionsaregoodforaeration,theywillbegoodfor
processing.Soilmoisture,surfacemoistureordew,soil
compositionandamountofsoilprocessedallcanaffect
thenishedappearance.
Theamountofsoilprocessedcanbeinuencedbythe
tinesize,holedepthandholespacingoftheaerator.
Smallertinesizeandwiderspacingwillleavelesssoil
onthesurfaceandrequirelesspostprocessing.Some
soilmoistureisnecessaryforgoodaeration.
Properheightadjustmentisrelativelyeasytoattainbut
criticaltoasuccessfuloperation.Thebrushshouldbe
setatorslightlyabovetheheightofcutoftheturftobe
processed.Finetunethebrushheightusingthetoplink
ontheonepasssystem,oradjustmenthandleonthe
towhitch.Ifthebrushistooaggressive,theprocessor
willuseexcessivehorsepowerandprematurelywear
thebrush.Ifthebrushisnotaggressiveenough,some
coreswillbemissed.
Finalizeyourheightadjustmentonaremoteareaofthe
propertybeforeusingoncriticalareas.
Beforestartingoperation,surveyareatodeterminethe
bestdirectiontowork.
Alwaystrytomakealong,continuousrunwithaslight
overlaponthereturnrun.
Note:Tomaintainastraightlinewhenoperating,sight
anobjectintheforeground.
Important:Donotmakesharpturnswhenusing
thecoreprocessorasdamagetoturfmayoccur.
WhileOperating
TIPOVERCANCAUSESERIOUSINJURY
ORDEATH.
NEVERoperateonsteepslopes.
Operateonslopesupanddown,never
acrosstheface.
Whengoinguphillordownhill,donotstop
orstartsuddenly.
Stayalertforholesintheterrainorother
hiddenhazards.Toavoidtippingorlossof
control,donotdriveclosetoaditch,creek
ordropoff.
Ifmachinestopsgoinguphill,disengage
aeratorandbackslowlydownhill.Donot
attempttoturn.
Checktheconditionoftheprocessortip
afterthecompletionofeachfairwayorsports
eld.Replaceanybrokenorloosetips.
Transporting
Whenmovingfromoneworkareatoanother,proceed
asfollows;
Insertthestoragepinsintherearholeposition.
MakesuretoraisetheCoreProcessor.
Donotexceed15MPH.
Ifusingthetowhitch,repositionthecoreprocessor
behindthevehicle,retractthetowhitchand
movethelatchhandlepintothelockedposition
(Figure35).
