•Batteryelectrolytelevelmustbeproperlymaintained
andthetopofthebatterykeptclean.Ifthemachine
isstoredinalocationwheretemperaturesare
extremelyhigh,thebatterywillrundownmore
rapidlythanifthemachineisstoredinalocation
wheretemperaturesarecool.
Batteryelectrolytecontainssulfuricacidwhich
isadeadlypoisonandcausessevereburns.
–Donotdrinkelectrolyteandavoidcontact
withskin,eyesorclothing.Wearsafety
glassestoshieldyoureyesandrubbergloves
toprotectyourhands.
–Fillthebatterywherecleanwaterisalways
availableforushingtheskin.
•Keeptopofbatterycleanbywashingperiodically
withabrushdippedinammoniaorbicarbonateof
sodasolution.Flushthetopsurfacewithwaterafter
cleaning.Donotremovethellcapwhilecleaning.
•Batterycablesmustbetightonterminalstoprovide
goodelectricalcontact.

or,ifmachineisinstorage,every30days.
•Maintaincelllevelwithdistilledordemineralized
water.Donotllcellsabovellline.
•Ifmachinewillbestoredformorethan30days,
removethebatteryandchargeitfully.Eitherstore
itontheshelfonthemachine.Leavethecables
disconnectedifstoredonthemachine.Store
thebatteryinacoolatmospheretoavoidquick
deteriorationofthechargeinthebattery.Toprevent
batteryfromfreezing,makesureitisfullycharged.
Thespecicgravityofafullychargedbatteryis

Chargingthebatteryproducesgassesthatcan
explode.
Neversmokenearthebatteryandkeepsparks
andamesawayfrombattery.
Batteryterminalsormetaltoolscouldshort
againstmetaltractorcomponentscausing

explode,resultinginpersonalinjury.

notallowthebatteryterminalstotouchany
metalpartsofthetractor.
