Changing the Hydraulic Fluid
If the fluid becomes contaminated, contact your Toro Distributor because the system must
be flushed. Contaminated fluid looks milky or black when compared to clean fluid.
1. Prepare the machine for maintenance.
2. Place a large drain pan under the manifold on the bottom the hydraulic tank.

90° fitting
3. Disconnect the 90° fitting from the manifold and allow the tank to drain.
4. When hydraulic fluid stops draining from the tank, connect the 90° fitting to the manifold.
5. Fill the tank with the specified hydraulic fluid.
IMPORTANT
Use only the hydraulic fluids specified. Other fluids could cause system damage.
6. Install the tank cap.
7. Start the engine, and use all the hydraulic controls to distribute hydraulic fluid throughout
the system.
8. Check for hydraulic-fluid leaks.
9. Check the level.
