ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily—Wash
underneaththemachine.
1.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface.
2.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop
beforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Lowerthemachinetothelowestheight-of-cut.
4.Attachahosetothewashouttting,andturnthe
wateronhigh(
Figure48).
Note:Spreadpetroleumjellyonthewashouttting
O-ringtomakethecouplingslideoneasierand
protecttheO-ring.

5.Starttheengine,engagetheblade-controllever,and
letthemachinerunfor1to3minutes.
6.Disengagetheblade-controllever,stoptheengine,
andwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
7.Shutoffthewaterandremovethecouplingfrom
thewashouttting.
Note:Ifthemachineisnotcleanafterasingle
washing,soakitandletitstandfor30minutes.Then
repeattheprocess.
8.Runthemachineagainandengagethebladesfor1
to3minutestoremovetheexcesswater.
WARNING
Abrokenormissingwashoutttingcould
exposeyouandotherstothrownobjectsorblade
contact.Contactwithabladeorthrowndebris
cancauseinjuryordeath.
•Replaceabrokenormissingwashouttting
immediately,beforeusingthemachine
again.
•Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
machineorthroughopeningsinthemower.
