fueltankorthecarburetorinanenclosurewith

•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringitinany
enclosure.
Onthelastrefuelingoftheyear,addfuelstabilizerto
thefuelasdirectedbytheenginemanufacturer.Empty
thefueltankwhenmowingthelasttimebeforestoring
themachine.

outoffuel.
2.Starttheengineagain.
3.Allowtheenginetorununtilitstops.Whenyoucan
nolongerstarttheengine,itissufcientlydry.

1.Whiletheengineisstillwarm,changetheengineoil;

2.Removethesparkplug.
3.Usinganoilcan,addabout1oz.(30ml),ofmotor
oiltotheenginethroughthespark-plughole.
4.Slowlypullthestarterropeseveraltimestodistribute
oilthroughoutthecylinder.
5.Installthesparkplugbutdonotconnectthewireto
thesparkplug.Securethewiresothatitdoesnot
comeintocontactwiththesparkplug.

1.Unfoldthehandle;referto
AdjustingtheHandleHeight(page10).
2.Checkandtightenallfasteners.
3.Removethesparkplugandspintheenginerapidly
usingthestartertoblowexcessoilfromthecylinder.
4.Inspectthesparkplugandreplaceitifitisdirty,
worn,orcracked;refertotheEngineOperator’sManual.
5.Installthesparkplugandtightenittothe
recommendedtorqueof180in-lb(20N-m).
6.Performanyneededmaintenanceprocedures;refer
to
Maintenance(page16).
7.Checktheengineoillevel;referto
CheckingtheEngineOilLevel(page9).
8.Fillthefuelinthefueltankwithfreshgasoline;refer
toRecommendedFuel(page8).
9.Chargethebattery;referto
