Engine must be running so motion control
adjustment can be performed. Contact with
moving parts or hot surfaces may cause
personal injury.
Keep hands, feet, face, clothing and other
body parts away from rotating parts, muffler
and other hot surfaces.

Raise the frame and block up the machine so
drive wheels can rotate freely.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the
seat safety switch. Temporarily install a jumper
wire across terminals in the wiring harness
connector.
Unlatch the seat and slide seat forward.
Disconnect the seat rod and tilt the seat fully
forward.
Setting the Right-hand Hydraulic
Pump Neutral Position
1. Start the engine, open the throttle 1/2 way and
release paring brake. Refer to Starting and
Stopping the Engine in Operation, page 15.

Note: The motion control lever must be in
neutral while maMng aW adjustments.
Adjust the pump rod length by rotating the
M_ob, in the appropriate direction, until the
wheel is still or slightly creeping in reverse
(Figure 69).
Move the motion control lever forward and
reverse, then back to neutral. The wheel must
stop turning or slightly creep in reverse.
Open the throttle to fast. Make sure wheel
remains stopped or slightly creeps in reverse,
adjust if necessar>

Setting the Left-hand Hydraulic Pump
Neutral Position
1. Loosen the locM_uts at the ball joints on the
pump control rod (Figure 70).
2. Start the engine, open throttle 1/2 way and
release paring brake. Refer to Starting and
Stopping the Engine in Operation, page 15.
Note: The motion control lever must be in
neutral while maMng aW adjustments.
Note: The front nut on the pump rod has
left-hand threads.
3. Adjust the pump rod length by rotating double
nuts on rod, in the appropriate direction,
until wheel is still or slightly creeps in reverse
(Figure 70).
4. Move the motion control lever forward and
reverse, then back to neutral. The wheel must
stop turning or slightly creep in reverse.
5. Open the throttle to fast. Make sure the wheel
remains stopped or slightly creeps in reverse,
adjust if necessar>
