5 VARIOUS FUNCTIONS
COPY
The following functions and settings are available on the “COPY” menu.
Menu Functions Settings Description
EXPOSURE AUTO, Manual Sets the default setting for the
density. You can change the
exposure from lighter to darker in
nine steps from -4 to +4.
EXPOSURE
LEVEL
AUTO LEVEL -2 to +2 Sets the center value for
adjusting the density with
EXPOSURE.
MANUAL LEVEL -2 to +2 Sets the center value for
adjusting the density with
EXPOSURE.
ORIGINAL MODE TEXT/PHOTO, TEXT,
PHOTO, BACKGROUND
ERASE
Sets the default setting for the
original mode.
MAXIMUM COPIES 9, 99, 999 Sets the maximum number of
copies to be allowed.
SORT MODE PRIORITY NON SORT, SORT, ROTATE
SORT
Sets the default sort mode for
copy jobs.
AUTO 2-SIDED MODE OFF, 1 > 2 DUPLEX, 2 > 2
DUPLEX, USER
Sets the default auto 2-sided
mode for copy jobs.
2IN1/4IN1 ORIGINAL SIZE A3, A4, A5, B4, B5, FOLIO,
8K, 16K, LD, LG, LT, COMP,
13”LG, ST, 8.5SQ
Sets the default setting for the
original size when using the
“2IN1/4IN1” function.
ORIG. ORIENTATION Portrait, Landscape Sets the default setting for the
original orientation when using
the “2IN1/4IN1” function.
PAGE LAYOUT
2IN1:
Sets the order of the pages when
using the “2IN1/4IN1” function.
4IN1:
BACKGROUND -4 to +4 Adjusts the density of the
original’s background. It avoids
the back side of a 2-sided
original becoming visible on its
front side. You can change the
background from lighter to darker
in nine steps from -4 to +4.
SHARPNESS -4 to +4 Emphasizes or blurs the outline
of the image. You can change the
sharpness from softer to sharper
in nine steps from -4 to +4.
OMIT BLANK PAGE -3 to +3 Sets the sensitivity level to detect
blank pages. The higher the level
is, the more likely the equipment
can detect blank pages. You can
specify the sensitivity level in the
range from -3 to +3.
CONTINUE SCAN OFF, ON Sets whether to continue
scanning when the scanning of
all the originals set on the RADF
is finished.
