16.1REFUELINGYOURTRUCK
16.1.1Refueling
CAUTION
• Anyopenflameisstrictlyforbiddenatrefuelingstations.Thefuelisflammableandcanig
niteandexplode.Turnofftheengine,removethekeyandturnofftheheadlightswhenre
fueling.Donotsmoke.
• Mistakesinfuelhandlingcancauseseriousaccidents.Openthefuelcapslowly.Donot
openthefuelcapsuddenly,asfuelmaysprayoutofthefillingport.Alwaysmopupany
fuelspill.
▪ Refuelonlyinasafe,wellventilated
place,equippedwithappropriatefire
extinguishingequipment.
▪ Always retighten the fuel cap after
refueling.Makesurethecaponthe
fueltankisclosedtightly sothatno
dust,dirt,rainorsnowcanenter.
▪ Incoldclimates, alwaysfillthetank
uptothetop.Thisminimizestheair
within the tank, thus reduces pos
sible freezing from moisture con
densation, rust in the fuel system
andhardstarting.
16.1.2FuelTypes
Usethecorrectfueltypeforyourforklift.Theuseofthewrongfuelwillimpairforklift
performanceandmayleadtounpredictablefaultsordamage.
Gasolinefuel
Useonlyunleadedgasolineof89octane(RON89)ratingorhigher.
NOTICE
• Do not use gasoline with more than 10% Ethanol (E10) or engine/fuel system damage
mayoccur.
• Donotusedeterioratedfuelwhichhasbeenstoredforalongperiodoftimeorimpurefuel
inwhichforeignmaterial,waterandetc.isincluded.
Dieselfuel
UseonlyultralowsulfurfueldefinedbyEN590:2013.
