If you forget your password for the TP-Link Extender, you can restore the Range Extender’s configuration to its factory default settings. Alternatively, try using the default user name and password: admin, admin. If that doesn't work, try to reconfigure your Range Extender.

Why is TP-Link RE210 Extender wireless speed slow?
    • C
      Christopher GrahamAug 18, 2025
The wireless transmission rate speed decreases while the wireless signal is stronger after repeated by RE210 because Range Extender devices are set to work in half-duplex instead of full-duplex mode, in compliance with the wireless transmission protocol. TP-LINK recommends that you connect to the Range Extender when your home network connection is poor, or when you want a larger wireless coverage to eliminate “dead zones.”
