Manage Your Modem Router
¾ To run ping and traceroute tools:
1 ) Locate the Diagnostic Tools section.
2 ) Select Ping or Traceroute or Nslookup as the diagnostic tool to test the
connectivity.
• Ping is used to test the connectivity between the router and the tested host,
and measure the round-trip time.
• Traceroute is used to display the route (path) your router has passed to reach
the tested host, and measure transit delays of packets across an internet
Protocol network.
• Nslookup is used to queries the Domain Name System (DNS) to obtain the
mapping between a domain name and IP address, or other DNS records.
3 ) Enter the Target IP Address/Domain Name of the tested host. You can change
the default test options if necessary.
