What to do if Trace2O Measuring Instruments samples are greater than L.O.D?

  If samples exceed the Limit of Detection (L.O.D.) on the Trace2O Measuring Instruments, it could be due to the instrument being over-range. The Metalyser® is designed for low-level ppb analysis in natural water. To address this: * Choose a shorter deposition time (e.g., change the default from 60 to 30 seconds). * Dilute the sample by a known amount and multiply the result by the dilution factor. Alternatively, an internal fault might be the cause. Try turning off the Metalyser®, waiting a few seconds, and then turning it back on. If the problem persists, disconnect and reconnect the battery. If the issue continues, contact the supplier.

  Lower-than-expected results on the Trace2O Measuring Instruments could be caused by: * The stirrer not rotating. Ensure the stirrer is rotating by observing the powder buffers swirling around the SAB. * A physical mask over the electrode. Make sure there is no debris physically masking the electrode surface, preventing the analysis.

  If you're experiencing a 'peak not visible' issue with your Trace2O Measuring Instruments, here's what might be happening and how to address it: * **Plating step not completed:** Wipe the end of the Working Electrode, polish, and re-plate as per the procedure. * **Plate damaged:** Re-plating is required. * **No heavy metals in solution:** Test with a known amount of standard solution.
