12. Gently slide the front differential toward the front of
the vehicle; Free the differential assembly from the
frame mountings and separate from the front drive-
shaft. Account for the rubber boot (A) and O-rings
(B) and driveshaft bumper (C); then remove the front
differential vent hose.

13. From the passenger side remove the front differential
from the vehicle.
Disassembling Input Shaft
1. Remove the front differential; then remove the actua-
tor on the front differential; then using a Torx
wrench, remove the cap screws securing the pinion
housing and actuator bracket; then remove the actua-
tor bracket (A).

2. Using a rubber mallet, remove the housing. Account
for a gasket. Remove the fork, collar, and spring.
Note the location of all the components for assem-
bling purposes.
