12. Firmware Upgrade Utility
12.1 Introduction
The purpose of the Windows-based Firmware Upgrade Utility is to provide an automated process for upgrading all B030-DP08-
17D / B030-DP16-17D switches in an installation. The program comes as part of a firmware upgrade package specific for
each device.
12.2 Preparation
To prepare for the firmware upgrade, do the following:
1. Use the firmware upgrade cable provided with the unit to connect a COM port on your computer to the firmware upgrade
port on the switch.
2. Shut down all the computers on the KVM installation.
3. From your KVM switch console, log into the OSD as the administrator and select F4 ADM function .
4. Scroll down to FIRMWARE UPGRADE. Press [Enter], and then press [Y] to invoke Firmware Upgrade Mode.
