Shifting down
As the incline or headwind increases, or
when fatigue is felt, it takes more effort
to pedal. It is then time to shift down
to maintain a comfortable pedalling
cadence and keep going.
Shift down by small increments with the
rear derailleur, using the thumb lever on
your right-hand side.
Shift down by a large step with the front
derailleur, using the index lever on your
left-hand side.
