WASHING YOUR TRIVEL
Keeping your Trivel clean is an easy
and simple way to help extend its
performance and look.
To wash your Trivel:
1. Remove the battery if your Trivel is
equipped with an electric power assistance
system.
2. Find a proper area where there is no dust.
3. Fill a bucket with warm water and mix a
biodegradable dishwashing liquid or other
soft soap.
4. Clean transmission components such as
chain, sprockets, and chain rings first with
degreaser using specially designed brushes
or a dedicated cloth.
5. Thoroughly wash the frame and
components from top to bottom with
soapy water using a soft brush.
6. Rinse with water at low pressure
(Do not use a pressure washer as it can get
water into sealed components).
7. Dry the chain with a clean cloth and re-
lubricate it before letting to it to air dry.
Never apply degreaser or lubricant
on disc rotor or brake pads. If
degreaser or lubricant gets on a
brake pad, it might need to be
replaced.
Disc rotors, if needed, should only
be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol
on a clean cloth. Do not use car
brake cleaner uid.
