DERAILLEURS ADJUSTMENTS
We recommend that you do not
attempt to adjust the derailleurs by
yourself if you don’t fully understand
this section or if you are not
condent in your mechanical skills.
A poorly adjusted derailleur can
damage the transmission system.
Both front and rear derailleurs on your
Trivel have been minutely adjusted by a
qualified technician before being handed
to you at the time of purchase.
After a few rides however, the cables can
stretch out a little bit and readjustment
of their tension become necessary for
optimal derailleur alignment with the
gears and shifting performance.
Adjusting a derailleur alignment with the
gears by correcting the cable tension is
somehow simple and can be achieved
without any tool.
Here’s how to check if it is necessary to
adjust front and rear derailleur alignment
and how to fine tune the cable tension.
