What material will you need?
1. A puncture repair kit or a compatible
new inner tube (make sure to purchase a
compatible tube by giving all the relevant
information regarding the size of the
tire and type of valve at the moment of
purchase).
2. A set of tire levers (bike tire specific model
in plastic material is recommended, do
not use metallic motocross tire levers or
a screwdriver as it will likely damage the
tube and / or rim).
3. An air pump designed for bicycle use with
a pressure gauge.
Follow this procedure to get back on track:
1. (Front wheel): Remove the wheel from the
fork.(Rear wheels): Lift the rear end of the
Trivel and proceed without removing the
wheel from the frame.
2. Detach the tire from the rim first using tire levers
3. Remove the inner tube and locate
the puncture
4. Find the corresponding location of the
puncture outside and inside the tire
5. Check for any sharp objects remaining
stuck in the tire (if any, remove it or replace
tire if its too damaged)
6. Fix the punctured inner tube with a
puncture repair kit or get a new one
7. Pre-inflate the new or repaired inner
tube to a low pressure just enough so it
stays round
8. Insert the inner tube inside the tire
9. Put the tire back on the rim making sure
the tire thread is facing forward
10. Inflate tire to recommended pressure
while checking for an even position of the
tire on the rim
11. (Front wheel): Replace the wheel inside the fork
