2 Safety instructions for experts
The following safety instructions draw attention to spe-
cial dangers during the installation and repair of the
Truma products described in this manual�
2.1 Handling electricity
Only qualified electricians may work on electrical
systems�
Observe country-specific and voltage-related rules
and regulations�
Take account of the vehicle's specific features�
Ensure the necessary workplace safety and wear
personal protective equipment�
2.2 Battery voltage 12V
Parts of the appliances are supplied via the on-board
power supply by 12Vbatteries� In case of high elec-
trical loads or a short circuit very high currents may
flow in the cables which make the cables hot and may
lead to cable fire�
Follow the installation instructions� Especially in-
formation about cable cross-sections, fuses and
insulation�
2.3 Appliance safety
There may be information attached to the appliance�
Observe any information attached directly to the
appliance�
Keep the information in a completely legible condi-
tion and do not cover it�
There may be protective devices attached to the
appliance�
Risk of injury if the protective devices are missing or
defective�
After installation, make sure that all protective devic-
es (covers, safety instructions, earth cable, etc�) are
present�
Replace faulty or unusable protective devices�
2.4 Original spare parts
Using parts (additional components, spare and wearing
parts) outside the manufacturer's specifications can ad-
versely affect the function and safety of the appliance,
damage the vehicle and limit the warranty and manu-
facturer's liability�
Only original components, spare and wear parts
from TrumaGerätetechnik GmbH & Co�KG should be
used�
