Cleaning the Instrument Inlet
The instruments inlet should be cleaned after running the
instrument in an environment with high particle concentrations or
running the instrument for extended periods of time. Cleaning the
instrument will remove particles that affect the zero count of the
instrument. Perform the following steps to clean the inlet.
1. Power on the instrument and start a sample so that the pump
is running. The running pump will exhaust out the particles
that are removed in the cleaning process.
2. Insert a cleaning swab fully into the swab handle and tighten
the holding screw. The swab handle will control how deep the
swab goes into the inlet and keep the swab from being
dropped into the unit.
3. Wet swab tip with Isopropyl alcohol. Shake swab to remove
excess.
